*Oysters are a favorite among the many foods shown to increase libido. Research shows oysters to be a very rich source of zinc. Zinc is a mineral required for the production of hormone called testosterone. Testosterone is a hormone behind the male sex drive, however is believed to stimulate the female libido as well!  

*Celery contains a crystalline male sexual hormone androsterone. Androsterone is released through male perspiration that apparently turns women on, so why not sneak a few extra stalks into your partner’s salad or stir fry to boost his sex drive substantially.

* Chocolate-there are two substances found in chocolate called phenylethylamine and serotonin. Both of these substances make us feel good and they are released in our brains when we’re happy, passionate or just satisfied with overall quality of our life.

* Basil- this is said to stimulate the sex drive and boost female fertility.

* Avocado contains high levels of folic acid, helping to metabolize proteins. They also contain vitamin B6, helpful in increasing male hormone production. In addition potassium is found in avocado which aids in regulating the female thyroid gland, this helps enhance female libido levels.

*Bananas- The phallic shape of the banana is aptly suited for this traditional aphrodisiac food. They are rich in potassium and B vitamins like riboflavin which are necessary for sex hormone - testosterone production.

*Asparagus is rich in vitamin E, which is considered to stimulate the production of sex hormones and may be important for a healthy sex life. Good for both female and male libido levels

* Figs are high in amino acids, which researchers believe can increase libido. It has also been found that Figs can also increase your sexual stamina.
